Our inaugural Pirate Palooza event this past June was a great success! With participation from local
radio and newspapers we met our fundraising goals and were proudly able to make donations to
Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley as well as Habitat Hancock County Mississippi.
We are gearing up for Pirate Palooza II and need your help as a sponsor for this exciting event. Pirate
Palooza II - a weekend of tropical beach-party music - will be held June 6, 7, 8, 2008. This great event
will be held at Sand Island West, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Well known participating bands include
Jimmy and Jimmy, James “Sunny Jim” White, Tall Paul and Crawdaddy and The John Frinzi Band.
All celebrating the music and sound of Jimmy Buffett.
Pirates in Paradise is an organization whose purpose is to assist in community and environmental
concerns and provide a variety of social activities for people who are interested in the music of Jimmy
Buffett and the tropical lifestyle he personifies. With a network of over 200 clubs around the U.S.,
each is dedicated to “partying with a purpose”. Events held within the last 5 years contributed to
charitable causes locally and nationally, raising $10.5 million with 1.8 million volunteer hours.
In 2008, we’re proud to host our second annual event “Pirate Palooza II” -- a three-day concert
benefiting Habitat for Humanity of the Lehigh Valley (www.HabitatLehighValley.org), Warren County
Habitat for Humanity - New Jersey (www.WarrenHabitat.org) and Habitat for Humanity of Hancock
County Mississippi (http://HabitatHancock.org). Much has been accomplished in the Gulf Coast region
in the 2 years since Hurricanes Katrina and Rita, but the job's not done yet. Habitat still needs to help
families put their lives back together and we’d like to respond to their on going plea.
We’re excited at the prospect of working with you as a sponsor. There are a variety of sponsorship
levels beginning with donations of items for our silent auction. Your sponsorship will ensure that
Pirate Palooza II has a lasting positive impact on everyone involved. Please let us know by
May 25th, 2008 if you will participate. We will need your organization’s logo by that date for printing
on our media products.
Sincerely,
Bev
